Hi, my name is Dr. Terry Hafer. I have been in practice for over 30 years. Over that time, it has been my mission to offer my patients the best possible care.
Raised in the coal regions, hard work and persistence have been instilled in me. I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, I was employed by GE Aerospace, an Aerospace military division of General Electric in Valley Forge. From there, I was next employed as a high explosive chemist with Atlas Powder Company, an American explosive a chemical company. Although I appreciated the experience, the work lacked the personal satisfaction I yearned for. It has always been my desire to do something to improve the lives of people.
I therefore resigned from Atlas Powder Company to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While there I was heavily involved in federally funded chiropractic research, was Vice President of my class and attained a prestigious position as a grey coat (the college President’s envoy team) in addition to numerous other activities. Upon graduating with honors, I was also awarded the Clinical Excellence Award, which still hangs in my office today along with other cherished accolades.
While a chemist, I had a sign that hung over my desk that stated, “In God We Trust, All Others Bring Data”. Patients in my office are greeted with research articles in the waiting room that are regularly updated. They are encouraged to take whatever is of interest to them. Patient/Doctor conversations often lead to specific concerns, therefore additional articles are offered to patients for their own particular concerns.
My care team and I work diligently to provide the best care possible, but should medical intervention be necessary, referrals to the appropriate professionals may be recommended.
Come in and meet our care team. We are committed to our patients’ health. We have your back!
